Triumph for the Mountainbike Racingteam, Barcelona, October 11, 2025 - What a season finale. At the last round of the UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup in Barcelona, Germany’s Marion Fromberger from the Mountainbike Racingteam crowned herself the overall World Cup champion 2025. After her victory at the home World Cup in Aalen, the young athlete has taken the next big step in her career.

After a season full of excitement, tough battles, and impressive consistency, the final standings made it official: Fromberger is the fastest sprinter in the world. With mental strength, tactical intelligence, and relentless dedication in training, she secured the UCI Eliminator World Cup title. Throughout the entire season, Fromberger demonstrated top form, reaching the Big Final in every World Cup race.
“You can achieve anything if you work hard enough on yourself and your surroundings. As a child, it was always my dream to race in the World Cup and to one day stand on that podium. Now I’ve actually won the overall World Cup 2025 – it’s simply unbelievable,” said an overjoyed Marion Fromberger at the finish line. For the entire Mountainbike Racingteam, the triumph in Barcelona represents the culmination of years of development and dedication. Team manager Steffen Thum was visibly moved: “We brought Marion into the team when she was not even 20 years old, believed in her, and supported her growth. Now the time has come for us to reap the rewards of the entire team’s work. To be able to call yourself the best sprinter in the world in 2025 – that’s something Marion will carry with her for a lifetime. She is an athlete, brand ambassador, role model, and inspiration all at once. Our whole team is proud of her.”
Alongside Fromberger, the other riders of the Mountainbike Racingteam also delivered strong performances throughout the season, proving once again that the team is among the leading forces in international mountain biking. Teammate Simon Gegenheimer also had a remarkable 2025 season, finishing on the World Cup podium four times and securing 5th place in the UCI world ranking.

Fromberger’s victory not only marks a highlight of the season but also underscores the sustainable professionalism and long-term philosophy that define the Mountainbike Racingteam. The team’s approach focuses on more than just performance. Athletes receive holistic support on a personal, athletic, and mental level. “We stand for integrity, sustainability, and genuine partnerships with our sponsors, media partners, and the World Cup organizers. This creates an environment where athletes can truly thrive, where innovation is encouraged, and where mountain biking is lived with passion and responsibility. Today and in the future,” says team manager Steffen Thum.
